Developing an Attitude of Gratitude – Day 200 and Day 201

Not sure how I missed yesterday. I think it was because I was so busy with dinner and entertaining the grand people that I didn’t sit down and express thanks.

I am thankful for the things the Spirit teaches me while I am teaching. Seriously. It is the coolest to be talking away and to be surprised by the wise things that come out of my mouth.

I am thankful for a little bit of time to study the Come Follow Me curriculum. I am so enjoying this study time. Truthful, I could be happy doing it all day every day, but that is not practical.

I am thankful for my dad. He rocks! He has been the perfect example of forgiveness, passion for hobbies, service, and hard work. I will gush about him more in a few more days for his birthday.

I am thankful for my husband. He is a good dad. Our kids seem to really like him. “). I think he is their favorite parent. Who could blame them. He is funny. He works hard. He is willing to play – he even got in the pool with the grand people yesterday. He helps around the house. He makes an effort to call them regularly.

I am thankful for my son-in-laws. They are both good dads. They are good to my daughters. They are doing their best to teach their children about the Savior and to be good people.

I am thankful that Lilli got her driver’s licence today. It is also a little sad. Driving around together sort of made her talk to me. I sure hope our relationship doesn’t suffer now that she doesn’t need me to cart her around. But I am realistic and I know that this new freedom will change things. I will miss our driving talks. Still. I am proud of her. She passed at her first try.

I am grateful for my voice students. I taught for a long time today. I love hearing them make progress. It is also nice that teaching helps out the family in a small way financially.

I am thankful for the wind chimes outside my window. So ZEN!
