Today I am hosting an Usborne book party. My daughter is an Usborne book consultant, so hosting a party helps her out. I also decided to "pay-it-forward" and to host the party to benefit someone else. First, I love to read. I learned to read late. I struggled learning to read. At third grade I… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 165
I feel like I see so much judgement in the world today... Lots and lots of pointing fingers. Today I have a simple suggestion for an act of kindness: Be empathetic – Really try to put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Try your best to understand their experiences, challenges and thought process. "If you can learn a… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 164
I am finding that many do not value punctuality. I find that we fail to see that punctuality is related to discipline and self mastery, to integrity and respect. Punctuality is a character trait real adults develop. Real adults are on time! Today I subbed for my friend. I taught a ton of voice lessons. I bought some snacks for my daughter. I was pleasant and understanding while delivering hard news to a group of students. Sometimes it is hard to stay positive on long hard days. Staying positive is a great act of kindness! Stay positive!

I spent time chatting with my parents on the phone. We spent time with Kimber, Ray Ben, Freya and Holland today… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 161
