Developing an Attitude of Gratitude – Day 490 - My study has led me to much self examination and contemplation. I can see how many of us, including myself, are caught in "self-righteous" behavior with "accusing hearts." Problem arise when we fail to truly live gospel principles. We may not be able to control the events in the world around us not the people were associate with, but we can focus on the intents of our own hearts. Our problems are primarily spiritual and God is clearly trying to get our attention. Developing an Attitude of Gratitude – Day 487 and 488 - I am grateful for our mandatory “down time.” I really have used the time to clean up my house and my life. Yesterday was “home-centered” church. It was awesome! Got to play with grand kids including a fire on the back porch, a blue tape race track and hop scotch, and hamburgers. Life is good. Developing an Attitude of Gratitude – Day 483 - Today I am grateful for a little sleep, people who are kind, Pizza delivery, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am also grateful for the the wind chimes in my yard. It is soothing. It just the life get so busy and I am not able to carve out one more minute to add blogging to my day. I am grateful God knows me. I am thankful He inspired my friend Jo to call when I needed her. A tender mercy. I am thankful for herb tea. It’s calming. Developing an Attitude of Gratitude – Day 397 - I am thankful I got in a ride on the stationary bike 18 minutes… day 2! and “biked” 4 miles. Well, it’s a start. I am glad worked on blogging and school related things. I am glad I didn’t burn the house down when I forgot I was cooking eggs and got exploding eggs. I am grateful to have been able to enjoy the First Presidency Message for Christmas. I am grateful that I am almost done writing Christmas cards. Let us thank Him for all His goodness in the good times and in the hard times. Let’s thank Him when He strengthens us and when He restores peace. Join me for the next year as I ponder on all of His goodness, tender mercies and blessing – large and small – that He showers on our lives each day.
