Today was such a long day.
Today I am glad that although I had suicided prevention training for several hours today, I had distractions that kept my mind from thinking too hard on the sadness of it all.
Today I am grateful that Jeff came running when I couldn’t get he sound on my work computer to work in the middle of meetings this morning.
Today I am grateful the work I was able to get done… even amongst the chaos.
Today I am grateful that Lilli and Jordan brought me Ice drinks and chai from Dutch.
Today I am grateful that awoke rested.
Today I am grateful that today is the day to celebrate the birth of so many people I love. Today I can celebrate my nephew Montana and my niece Oliva. Today I celebrate one of my dearest friends, Jeff. Today I celebrate my oldest daughter, Kimber. My life is forever enriched because these awesome people were born! Jeff and Kimber even spent their birthday working on a show with me. That is dedication and love right there.
Today I am grateful that John came running to the high school to tell me how to work the camera… and that he loaded all the footage onto the computer when I got home.
So many firsts today… first time to tech hold tech day, marathon day, dress rehearsal and performance in one day. First time “directing” a film/video. First time the first 20 pages of Frozen Jr on stage. First time with a nearly first time crew – 3 new spot light operators, 1 new lightboard operation and 2 new Q-lab operators. They were awesome and rolled with it. I am super thankful for Jenni Bowker coming to film and for the awesome days, Kimber Jessop for photography, Josh Wagner and his student Josiah for helping with filming (and Ashton and Sage who ran cameras when they were not on stage). I am thankful for Riley Weston for running sound and for Lillian Boyack for setting up mics and stuff since Riley is stuck in one place. I am thankful for Quinn (Lori Szymanski) who came in early to help me set things up today. And finally, I am super grateful for Jeff who ran around like a crazy man getting costumes together. That’s what happens when we have days notice for “now or never” filming for a play you have been rehearsing outside since August. Day 1 of recording Frozen is now complete. On to Day 2 and Day 3.
Today I am grateful I got to see my friend Jamie.
Today I am grateful for the opportunity to remanence with Lilli as we looked for pictures she needs for Pageant.
Today I am grateful for the little things that helped me remember that God is there and He is a God of miracles.
What are you grateful for today?
