Today was a busy day with some work at the high school, lessons, and rehearsal. However, my daughter texted me, feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. So I took an hour and went and did her dishes. Sometimes a girl needs her mom, even if she is a mom herself.

Veggies and more veggies
It's been a good week for veggie eating. Monday I had a dentist appointment and my face was numb for half the day. Jamba Juice to the rescue! I had a Greens with added ginger smoothie. When my face woke up I had a veggie dog... plain. Dinner was a cabbage from the garden with… Continue reading Veggies and more veggies
#bethelight – Day 291-292
Yesterday and today I worked at my school without pay. I made sure tech worked for their meetings and Professional Development sessions. I do it because I want to make a difference... okay... and I don't want to spend hours trying to figure it what went wrong when I'm not there. Retaining the Life Blood of Volunteers
Nearly all of the organizations I occupy myself, survive because of the generosity of volunteers. A young Swedish minister, Reverend Carl Boberg of Monsteras, walked two miles along the southeast coast of Sweden in the rain and then was inspired to pen the words… Continue reading I Will Praise Thee Forever

When we got home from Utah I went into teaching mode. However, I did stay up real late one… Continue reading Counting Down Summer at Our House
#bethelight – Day 289
I went to the farmer's market today. As I wondered around looking at all the beautiful bounty, I enjoyed stopping to chat with the people I met. Just as I was about to leave, I got this distinct impression that I needed to find something at the farmer's market and take it to a family… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 289
#bethelight – Day 288
Today I went the extra mile at work. There is some turn over at my school. It turns out that I may be one of the only people left who has any knowledge of "tech" stuff. I was at the school supervising students in the great auditorium clean up. However, I was needed to help… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 288
