As I sit here thinking through my day I am realizing how true this statement really is. At first I couldn’t really think of a whole lot that happened in my day that I could mention on my gratitude list. But, as I began to write things down more and more came to the surface.
Today I am grateful that I didn’t have to rush off to work early for a meeting. Today I am grateful I had time for a shower and even a little time to look over some work before I left home.
Today I am thankful that Lilli cheerful and awake before I left for work.
Today I am thankful for a pleasant conversation with John before heading out the door. It is a little funny that it is me that leaves to go to work. He “goes to work” by walking down 3 stairs to the room in that garage. I am grateful that every day is “bring your dog to work” day. The dogs love hanging out with him all day.
Today I drove to the dentist in Salem before my work day started. Today I am grateful that the dentist wasn’t too stressful and that my blood pressure was a descent number. Today they filled in the tooth that has been hanging out with a huge hole in it since the second attempt at a root canal failed. They were very nice… and still apologetic. So many mistakes from dentist in the past couple of years. It even looks like the original trauma came because of a filling that the previous dentist did… and did a poor job on. Gah! Dentists are stressful.
The drive to and from Salem was so beautiful. The trees are covered in bright green fuzz with all the leaves peaking out their little heads. Plus, every tree that can bloom is blooming. Bulb flowers are also blooming and adding splashes of bright yellow, pink and blue/purple. It’s a little distracting because I want to pay attention to the flowers not the road. LOL.
Today I am grateful for a car to drive. For many years I have driven cars that have to be pushed or jumped to start. I’ve had to call someone to rescue me from the side of the road or from a parking lot at least once a year. For the last few years I have been blessed with newer cars that go… no extra human power needed. For this I am grateful.
Today I am grateful for a good job. Today I am thankful that work went well and I made progress with lessons to post for the next 2 weeks.
Today I am thankful that rehearsal is going well. Today I am grateful that today’s rehearsal was a music rehearsal and I could work on cleaning the green room and making some blocking notes so I can be ready for tomorrow’s blocking rehearsal.
Today I am grateful for leftovers. 22 hours fasts are hard when I’m working and I don’t have the patience I need to make health food. Leftovers save my bacon.
Today I am grateful for the beauty in my yard. The cherry blossoms and stunning. The daffodils are so happy and sunny. Serious. I have a pretty yard.
Today I am so thankful that there is no RS meeting tonight.
Today plant sale at school. This year I caught it soon enough and I was able to order all kinds of awesome plants! So excited for my garden this year!
Today I am grateful for a study in prayer that I am going to be starting today. Two new books came today and I am very excited for them.
Today I am thankful for a pretty new floral wreath for spring for the front door. It greets me with such a friendly look. It is fun to decorate the front of tne house to match the holidays and the time of year.
Today I am grateful keto ice cream. I really wanted a treat today. At least I had a health-ish option.
