Yesterday I wrote that I was grateful for my family (I know. Everyone says that), the gospel of Jesus Christ and the bonus of having the Atonement of Jesus Christ available, cars that work, a home that is tailored to my wants and needs, a job and a hobby I love, and good friends. What did you write down?
Today my kindness goal is to listen – no interrupting. Something I learned from life experience is that people don’t always want us to suggest a solution. They just want us to listen. We underestimate how important and comforting it is to be listened to. This one can be hard for me because I sometimes get so passionate that I jump in and stomp all over the conversation. Today I am going to work on politely and quietly listening.
