Developing an Attitude of Gratitude – Day 220 and Day 221

Friendship day

This statement is so true. Hard times and failings are life’s greatest teachers.

The past two days have been crazy busy and I didn’t even go to work. Yesterday John and I spent the entire day working on Hannah’s room. I did the second coat of paint on the walls. John made a new wooden window casing. I helped Hannah paint furniture. Then, we all painted the floor. Pictures will follow soon. I spent the evening prepping for my Sunday School lesson. Today we all went to church. I taught Sunday School. We came home and I made lunch for the masses and Lilli, Hannah and Chad headed for the beach. John and I stayed home and made dinner for the whole family. We made fajitas with 3 different meats and sauted veggies. All the kids and their families came for dinner. Then, my brother Paul stopped by for a surprise visit. Now it is 10:00 and it is time for bed.

Today I am thankful for the Spirit and for the Sabbath. I am thankful for the spirit that comes to the heart on the Sabbath.

Today I am thankful for my time to study the scriptures.

Today I am thankful for family and that they indulged me by taking a couple family pictures.

Today I am thankful for my brother stopping by. It is fun to visit and catch up.

I am thankful for grand kid giggles… especially of the baby variety. Tatum was very talkative today.

I am thankful that John helped me so much this weekend.

I am thankful for my windchimes. THey are calming.

I am thankful the weather has been cool so far this summer.

I am thankful for the chat with my mom. I love that Sunday tradition.

  1. I’m so happy that you had a accomplishing and special weekend. Painting the floor of Hannah’s room?! The front bedroom or…?
I love that you enjoy your wind chimes.
    Love ya!
