I am grateful my first day as a teacher went okay. I learned things. I got things done. I am hoping I made a difference.
I am grateful that I was able to figure out how to make a stringer for a stair unit all by myself. I usually buy the pre-made ones. However, this time, I needed to make the angle a bit steeper. It worked! I’m so proud of myself. I was making extra stairs out of my scrap to help a Jeff out… but it turned out that he didn’t need them after all. I caught myself thinking,”well that was a wasted afternoon when I have a billion things I need to get done before the classroom is full of kids.” I changed my thought to, “COOL! I learned how to do something today.”
I am grateful that I didn’t cave and get restaurant food today. I am so tired, but I told myself to buck up and make veggies. They were good.
I am grateful that John went on a small walk with me this evening and we had a good chat about the scriptures as we walked.
I am thankful for air conditioning! It’s 100 degrees today! Tomorrow is suppose to be hotter. I am so grateful we have air conditioning so I can sleep tonight!
I am grateful for my kids and their families. I wish I had more time to play with them… someday. But they are all great people doing awesome things. I hope they all know that I think they are amazing.
I am grateful for my husband. He pointed out today that I don’t send him many encouraging loving texts and stuff. I hope he knows that I appreciate how hard he works and all that he does to ease my stress.
I am grateful for the Savior. I am so blessed to live in a day and time when I can learn so much about Him and to get to know Him through scriptures, modern day revelation and the Holy Ghost. What a blessing it is to know that I am a child of God and that there a Plan and I can work that Plan with the Savior, Jesus Christ’s help. I am blessed.
