I spent the day in professional development meetings. the concepts were familiar and mostly common sense to me… the vocabulary and “buzz” words were completely foreign to me. At one point, my friend leaned over to me and whispered, “you learned all this in Sunday School.” She was right. The main message of the meeting really boiled down to “The Golden Rule” and mindfulness. Seriously, the world would be a much more peaceful place if we all practiced mindfulness, seeing people for their potential and not for their current frame of mind. Even those who think differently or come from a different cultures can come together and even find some common ground. Peaceful learning and even co-existence is possible.
Today I am grateful for the things that Sunday School taught me.
I am grateful for a little drive and a fun dinner with Lilli.
I am again thankful for air conditioning! It’s too hot!
I am thankful for some of the feedback I got today regarding some of my work. I am grateful that it looks like I am on the right track. Phew!
