Yesterday was a busy day with a dance recital, work and trying to get Christmas together at our house.
I am grateful that family came to support Lilli and Kimber and Freya and Holland in their dance recital. It is clear that dancing makes my girls happy. They didn’t get it from me. I could dance my way out of a wet paper bag. I have ideas, not good ones because Lilli usually rolls her eyes when I am telling people what to do during musical numbers in shows. but I am grateful that my girl can move.
I am grateful that John and the girls – but mostly John- to put up Christmas trees and Christmas decorations. We officially look festive. I am also grateful that we decided to go with a fake tree. We just don’t have the time it takes to go hunt for a tree. Besides, a fake tree isn’t a fire hazard by Christmas Eve; it doesn’t harbor spiders; it don’t leave as much crap on the floor to cleanup. Personally, it’s a win/win.
I am grateful for the Sabbath.
I am grateful for family dinners.
I am grateful that Lilli came out of her room to help me with a new idea for a Christmas candy… I hear it worked too. I didn’t test it since I am not eating sugar.
I am grateful for John who is doing dishes so that I can take a moment and write a blog.
