Today was a busy day with some work at the high school, lessons, and rehearsal. However, my daughter texted me, feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. So I took an hour and went and did her dishes. Sometimes a girl needs her mom, even if she is a mom herself.

#bethelight – Day 291-292
Yesterday and today I worked at my school without pay. I made sure tech worked for their meetings and Professional Development sessions. I do it because I want to make a difference... okay... and I don't want to spend hours trying to figure it what went wrong when I'm not there. I was struck with… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 291-292
#bethelight – Day 289
I went to the farmer's market today. As I wondered around looking at all the beautiful bounty, I enjoyed stopping to chat with the people I met. Just as I was about to leave, I got this distinct impression that I needed to find something at the farmer's market and take it to a family… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 289
#bethelight – Day 288
Today I went the extra mile at work. There is some turn over at my school. It turns out that I may be one of the only people left who has any knowledge of "tech" stuff. I was at the school supervising students in the great auditorium clean up. However, I was needed to help… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 288
#bethelight – Day 286 and 287
Yesterday I was down a street and saw someone drop some trash. I picked it up and threw it into a trash can a few yards further down the street. Be kind to your surroundings and take care of them. Pick up trash when you see it. It helps everyone! Today I am taking it… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 286 and 287

Snap! The past few days have been a whirl wind! Thursday my act of kindness involved helping my daughter paint her kitchen and put her house back together after the chaos. #bethelight – Day 280
Today I witnessed great kindness. My son was the perfect example of kindness this morning as he comforted his over whelmed sister. He hugged her and reassured her that she was normal and that she could handle the trials she dealing with. He assured her that he was there to help. It warms this old,… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 280
Lifting the Poor Wayfaring Men of Grief
As we were leaving a Walmart parking lot yesterday, I rolled down my car window and gave a dollar to a homeless man on the corner. He grabbed my hand and genuinely thanked me for the dollar, but asked if I had anything for a headache. It was so hot outside. No wonder he had… Continue reading Lifting the Poor Wayfaring Men of Grief
#bethelight – Day 276, 277, 278, and 279
When you are doing a bunch of traveling, hours upon hours in a car, it's hard to get out a computer to write on the blog. However, this has not stopped me from keeping up the kindness efforts. While driving I worked at being a kind driver. I shared the music. I chatted with the… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 276, 277, 278, and 279
