Yesterday I started a 30 day challenge for myself. I am challenging myself to get the following things done in a day: 10 minutes of Qi Gong, 30 minutes (could be more) of scripture study, meaningful prayers – morning and evening, healthy meals for every meals, more water, a short stroll, a blog entry, and at least one chore with the goal of achieving a clean and peace filled house. So far I am 2 for two. I am grateful!
This morning in my scripture study I had many thoughts as I read 1 Corinthians 1. The thought that sticks out the most revolves around unity. Verse 10 teaches that as believers in Christ we should speak of the same thing – CHRIST, and we shouldn’t all be fighting about it. After all, we talk of Christ, we preach of Christ (2 Nephi 2:25)… that our children (and God’s children) may know who they can turn to for salvation. God expects us to be unified… especially in maters of faith in Christ, repentance, etc. And let’s not forget that oneness is at the very heart of the Atonement of Jesus Christ (at-one-ment). Its transcendent purpose is to provide a way for us – divided from the Father through mortality and sin – to be redeemed and to return and to become one again. No wonder we are ask to be ONE. It’s the whole PLAN!
