It’s been awhile since I have written something for Warrior Wednesday, however, I came across this little quote and decided that it may be time to resume.
There is far too much contention in the world. Proving that you are right and that someone else is wrong is not really a Warrior mentality. In fact, contention does nothing but drive wedges, start fights, and make people miserable. No one wins. Everyone loses.
Choose to be kind.
When someone has a different opinion then you, choose to be kind.
When someone has a different religious view than you, choose to be kind.
When someone looks different that you, choose to be kind.
When someone has a different political view than you, choose to be kind.
Choosing to be kind is not a cop out. Choosing to be kind takes courage. Choosing to be kind does not concede a victory. Choosing to be kind is a victory. Choosing to be kind is not backing down. Choosing to be kind is standing for Truth.
What would Jesus do? He would choose to be kind.
A Warrior chooses kindness over being right… thus a Warrior chooses the right.
