Developing an Attitude of Gratitude – Day 350

Today I am thankful for the ordinance of the Sacrament. It is healing and renewing.

I am thankful that my friend Amy E. was in Sunday School today. She had the perfect answer to a question I was stumbling to answer.

I am thankful for John helping me in the kitchen today. My brain is in a bit of a fog and I am not quite myself, so I was grateful for the help as we made dinner for all the family that eventually came for Sunday dinner and for the family celebration of my birthday.

I was grateful that our attempt to make a mostly sugar free (it did have real maple syrup) and dairy free (the chocolate cake did use some Greek yogurt) Chocolate Peanut-butter Trifle. Trifle is my favorite desert. It’s what I wanted as a “birthday” cake. I was so glad it worked. Plus, the meat we made for the rest of the family made them all happy and I was happy with my veggie sausage and coleslaw.

I am thankful for the card I got from my mom. I opened it today. It’s going to be a busy week. Hannah’s car is broken, so I will be left without a car and will need to find ways to get to and from work while we working on finding a way to get her car fixed. I can go into work when Lilli goes to school at 7am. I have concerts all week, so I need to stay late after rehearsal anyway. The whole week is going to be long with 14 hour days nearly every day.
