This is the perfect way to ring out the old year and ring in the new year. The past 394 days have taught me that finding the gratitude in the day is the answer.
Today I am grateful that Lilli helped me carry around laundry when they were too heavy for me to carry up 4 stairs. I am also thankful that she helped to take ornaments off the big tree so I didn’t have to get on the ladder.
I am grateful I was able to find the equipment that someone wanted to borrow… well, most of it. 2 speakers seem to be missing.
I am thankful I got to control the tv on New Year’s Eve. Usually, I don’t get to use the family room because I am not interested in what is happening in there. Thing is, no one is interested in what I want to watch either. If they sit by me, they get on their little devices and what other things (the young adults and teen were playing games and laughing at memes for a little while before they all left; and the husband put on headphones and watch his reality tv show), but hey! I got to watch a series of Jurassic Park movies to ring in the new year.
