#bethelight – Day 237

Gosh... WHAT A DAY!  A long day at work at CET.  A dentist visit. And then, out of the kindness of my heart... putting together a float for the theatre kids to be in the parade tomorrow.  Although, in hindsight, I'm not sure many of these kids care.  Sure, they want audience to come support… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 237

#bethelight – Day 236

There are days we feel deflated and overwhelmed.  Hurt, disappointment, bad news... it doesn't matter.  Sometimes you just have a lousy day.  On those days, when you are running on empty, there is always a glimmer of hope and something to be thankful for.  Albert Schweitzer said, "Sometimes our light goes out, but is blown… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 236

All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today. - Indian Proverb I've been studying scriptures throughout the day... taking a break from me usual week activities.  This thought struck me today.  Listening is one of the greatest gifts we can give anyone.  We all want o to be heard.  Today… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 235

#bethelight – Day 233 and 234

Yesterday I took Lilli, John, Lilli's friend and Jeff to the Portland area to see Mama Mia.  It was good to get out and do some socializing. Today I donated 90 minutes of my time to someone think about renting the stage some time next year.  Although she clearly didn't understand why policies are as… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 233 and 234

#bethelight – Day 232

Every once in awhile I think it's important to surprise your kids with something nice. We were on our way to CET and I suddenly pulled into Dutch Brothers. Lilli loves to get a "freeze" at Dutch Brothers. There was a huge grin for that surprise. Also, I work for a program where I am… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 232

I shopped for supplies at a local lumber store.  It's cool to support someone local just out to make it and serve the community.  I started… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 230 & 231

#bethelight – 227, 228, 229

Time is flying!  Saturday, I stopped making models to drive my mom to Portland for an Andrea Buchelli concert.  My sister had purchased tickets to take her and my dad.  However, my dad wasn't feeling well and didn't Come... so I got the ticket.  I might have extended kindness by driving the freeways of Portland… Continue reading #bethelight – 227, 228, 229

#bethelight – Day 226

I have spent most of the day all be myself.  John and Lilli went for a hike.  I stayed home and worked on models for my up coming CET job.  I'm tired and it hasn't even started.  I succeeded in completing 2 out of the 4 models I need.  Two more tomorrow... around going to… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 226

#bethelight – Day 224

To I let the sleeping teen sleep until noon!  I'm telling you... this is a major act of kindness.  However, studies do show that growing teens need sleep.  Yet, tomorrow the sleeping in ends and we get going on having a productive summer!
