Today was an unplanned act of kindness. I came out a local business and saw a man digging through the trash. He asked for money. i didn’t have any. I brushed him off and walked to my car. As I got in, I noticed the blue berries I had packed for lunch. A little voice in my head said, “give him the berries.” So, I grabbed them, walked back and handed him the berries. He smelled of alcohol and needed a bath. However, as I walked away I couldn’t help thinking about the Savior blessing the poor as He walked the streets of Palestine. The words, “when you have done it unto the least of these your brethren you have done it unto me.” I hummed A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief all the way to my next destination.
