Today John, Hannah and I did apples. We got 9 gallons of apple cider and 58 quarts of applesauce. We aren’t done with the water bath part. We will have to pick that up again tomorrow. We did get all the 1/2 galloon jars through the water bath. I hope they all seal. It is a blessing that the apples were free. So we got applesauce for Kaiden for the cost of some lemon juice, a little sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, and some lids. I’d say that is a win. But we are tired! today I am thankful for free apples. Today I am thankful for John and Hannah’s help. Today I am grateful to have a way we can help out with Kaiden.
Today I am grateful for the concert by Hannah all day. She sang from 12:30 pm until 8:00pm straight! At one point I leaned over to John and said that is was too bad we didn’t charge the neighbors admission.
Today I am grateful that Jacob came right at the end of our adventure and made us laugh and helped out. He was impressed with the whole operation. He called it all “Mormon Moonshine.” I had to run into the garage and get a jar of 3 year old juice that I knew was fermented. Yep… It was was pretty much alcohol. We all laughed and he took it home to his friend.
Today I am grateful that Lilli took all the stuff in the Goodwill pile away. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel… the garage may be clean soon! Not only that, I may have a little time next week to tackle a different project.
Today I am grateful for left overs… however, I really need to get back on the horse and get solid intermittent fasting at 22:2 back into my life, not to mention Ridiculously Large Salads or veggie soups for meals.
Today I am grateful for the roof over the deck. What a difference it made today! It was sunny sometimes and raining sometimes, but we never got wet!
What are you grateful for today?
