Yesterday was another super busy day, starting at the crack of dawn and ending long after the sun went down.
Things I found myself so grateful for yesterday:
A job. It may have been a long day, but it was a good day doing the things I love to do.
My friend bought my daughter and I lunch. That was super nice… and we even sat and caught up for a bit. That was nice.
I got to have a nice gospel conversation with a co-worker and with my daughter at separate occasions throughout the day.
Today I am grateful for:
The Sabbath. It was good to go to church, to take the Sacrament, to listen to the testimonies of others and to serve in Primary. The ladies I serve in Primary with are great ladies.
I am grateful that Lilli and I had a successful first week following the Come Follow Me for Individuals and Families. Due to are crazy schedules and in an effort to get through all the material before the Sunday lessons, we decided that our “week” would begin on Sunday. I am grateful that we had a fairly successful FHE today and that Chad even joined us as we started our conversations about Matthew 1 and Luke 1.
I am grateful that my husband traveled safely to visit his parents. He shared a picture of the roads and they did not look safe at all.
I am grateful for cute and funny grandkids. McKay’s kids always bring a smile to my heart. Today, when we chatted, Beckett made great faces, Leneyah said something funny (when we were talking about Chad going back to Utah she said she thought Chad would be surprised that they were gone.) Holland let me hug and kiss on him today and even walked from me to his mom. He is on the move.
I am grateful that McKay’s family seems to be settling in. I am sad I didn’t get to see them all week because I had the “plague” and they just don’t need that right now, but I am glad that they are settling in and even get to start school tomorrow.
I am grateful that I saw a picture on Facebook that showed a good friend, a “brother” who has been very sick, out and about, watching is College student play a basketball game. Proves that God is a God of miracles.
What are you grateful for?
I am grateful for so many mini and grand miracles among the challenges!

I have been enjoying your blog! Sorry to hear you’ve been sick. I thought of you earlier when I read the article link below, which is really about gratitude and how much it impacts people to get a note or email of thanks, encouragement or candor. I immediately though of the little plants and other gifties you have surprised me with—but it’s mostly the notes I’ve been deeply touched by. The little note of praise and encouragement that was attached to the chocolate “Snitch” and the note in a mug with a bright little fall flower were ones I felt happy about for days. Thank you, friend, for your encouragement when I needed it. I’m grateful for you!
