#gratitude, gratitude

An Attitude of Gratitude Experiment 2.0 Day 23

Today I am thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. We live in an amazing time where learning through revelation, from prophets and apostles, and scriptures is available. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend church, even if I didn’t go today due to swollen glands and a desire not to share the germs I may, or may not have.

Today I am grateful I was able to get some work done for school and it was fun and pleasant. I am grateful for Lilli and John who helped me make graham cracker gingerbread house kits for my PSP class. They were also good sports and helped me deliver all but two of them. We will have to catch them later. I am grateful I get the opportunity to be a teacher. I hope these kids get the hint that I care about them and care about their success in school…. even if success looks like fun.

Today I am grateful for trying new foods. I got some parsnips from my Ag teacher friends and today I made mashed parsnips and veggie “meat loaf” for dinner. It was tasty! It may have even been the best “meat loaf” I have ever made.

Today I am grateful for the phone calls I get from my parents every Sunday. I love that enjoy chatting every Sunday.

Back to feeling a little under the weather… I wouldn’t say that my throat is sore, but it is uncomfortable to swallow due to the glands on the right side of my neck are a little swollen. Still, I don’t want to go out. I really don’t want to share whatever germs I may have. What gets me is that so many people don’t seem to mind. I hear that is referred to as COVID fatigue. I get that too. I am tired of life not being “normal.” I wish we could do in-person school. On the other hand, I would feel bad if I was the cause that someone got sick because of me.

What are you grateful for today?
