Ingredients
2 pkg gyoza wrappers
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 c chopped shitake mushrooms
2 c bean sprouts, chopped
3 c shredded cabbage
8 carrots, shredded
4 green onions, diced
1 Tbs ground tumeric
1 Tbs ginger, minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Directions
- Saute garlic about a minute. Add mushrooms, beansprouts, cabbage and carrots. Saute until vegetables are softened and starting to brown… about 10 minutes. Add green onions, tumeric, ginger, salt and pepper and cook for 1-2 minutes more. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Assemble pot stickers. Place a small spoonful of the veggie filling in the center of the wrap. Use your fingers to wet the edges of the wrap. Crimp the edges together to form a half moon shape.
- Once all the wraps are filled it is time to cook the pot stickers. Heat up griddle or a flat-bottom pan. Place the pot sticker on the griddle. Make sure not to crowd them. Allow the pot sticker to cook until the bottoms begin to brown… about 3 minutes. Add 1/4 c of water. Place a lid over the pot stickers and allow them to steam until the water is all gone… about 5-7 minutes.
- Serve… we like to drizzle low-sodium soy sauce over the pot stickers.
