I came across the coolest book!
Rocks Tell the Story of Christmas A Savior is Born, created by Patti Rokus (don’t you love how even her name includes rocks?) has given me a new perspective on rocks.
She used rocks she picked up along the paths of her walks to create stunning pictures of the Nativity story. This simple, sweet book is appropriate for all ages. As I thumbed through it for the first time, my entire house hold – husband, married daughter, teen-aged daughter, and granddaughter – all gathered around. We all loved it and commented on the beauty of the book.
I did not grow up appreciating rocks, like my husband did. I never truly understood why my own children had to bring home buckets of rocks and sticks every time we went to the beach or to the mountains. Patti’s creative and inspiring pictures have helped me to change my mind about these little treasures.
I have already ordered one of these books for family members for Christmas!
Give is look! You can buy this book at Deseret Book and on-line at Amazon!

Wendy, Thanks for sharing about the rock books. You’re a good writer! I love that families are getting outside, and creating with their creator. He definitely jumps in and helps, as my book shows. I couldn’t have thought of that myself. I have free DIY guides and videos at my website: http://www.RocksTellStories.com.
