#bethelight – Day 77

I really was patient yesterday while I driving.  I can't say the same for my passenger.  LOL. Today I decided to spread light by offering to help.  When you want to help someone, ask: “How can I help?” and also suggest specific ways you can help. First, most people are not comfortable asking for help. … Continue reading #bethelight – Day 77

Eating for My Health One Day at a Time

Nearly ever person who asks me about my "diet" doesn't believe I don't feel hungry.  I really don't.  I stopped feeling hungry a long time ago. I discovered for myself that the discomfort and the hunger that I felt was really more like with-drawl.  What I felt was more related to the process of detoxification… Continue reading Eating for My Health One Day at a Time

The Gift of Love

One of the greatest rewards of surviving the sleepless nights of night feedings, the sleepless night of worry, the sleepless nights of “talkative” teens, and the sleepless nights of wondering how to pay for that mission, wedding or college is the joy of being a grandparent. I love making faces at little Freya and getting… Continue reading The Gift of Love

#bethelight – Day 76

I learned so many things from just listening yesterday. Today I need to go to Salem today.  That means I need to drive in traffic.  Thus, today I am going to slow down and let other merge today.  I'm going to allow others to go ahead of me.  Today I'm going to allow pedestrians to… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 76

Standing up for the right is worth the work!

I may not be a physical warrior… not the typical warrior when you hear the word warrior.

Yet, I face evil every day.  We all do.

The weak choose not to deal or acknowledge the evils that are around them.

The strong choose to acknowledge evil and to conquer evil… through inner strength, determination, discipline, and intelligence.

Being kind is worth the work!

wboyack's avatarResigning as the General Manager of the Universe

Tomorrow we open our latest production at school… The Bully PlaysThe Bully Plays are a collection of 10 minute plays created to inspire the end of bullying.  However, I have to admit that I am confused as to why this is an issue.  Whatever happened to “The Golden Rule?”  Has the Golden Rule gone out of style?

bullying (1)

“Treat others the way you want to be treated,”  How many times have I heard that in my life?  It was a lesson my mom taught me before I even got to school.  I heard this lesson although elementary school, junior high, and a bit in high school.  Throughout my entire life I have always thought of it and tried my best to live it.

Sadly, as I have grown older I have noticed that the world has gotten meaner?  Back in my youth I only needed to worry about when…

Busy Week!

Eating well is worth the work!

wboyack's avatarResigning as the General Manager of the Universe

I’d say I had an ok week eating wise.  I do need to get a handle on what time of day I eat.  I often get home late and end up eating dinner around 9 or 10 pm.  With my busy schedule (work/school, rehearsals, and performances) I need to find a way to prep and pack 2 meals.  Time is such an issue.

Monday was a vacation day.  I ate left over Chocolate “cake” for breakfast (hey!  It was vacation).  Click here for the recipe.  I ate Veggie pot stickers for lunch.  Click here for the recipe.  We made a lovely Black Bean Enchilada for dinner.  Click here for the recipe.

On Tuesday I finished off the Chinese Tofu Salad for breakfast.  Click here for the recipe.  For lunch I ate left over Black Bean Enchilada.  Click here for the recipe.  For dinner we made Curried Lentils for dinner.  Click
