It's been a busy week with the opening of my show. I leave home early and come home well past bedtime. I am pouring everything I have into my job and helping these kids and my co-worker succeed. I am sacrificing sleep and energy for this... only 5 more performances left. I can't say that… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 349, 350, 351, and 352
Casting Stones
This is a great read! Happy Sabbath, friends!
One day while Christ was at the temple teaching, the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman to Him who had been taken in adultery. They demanded that the woman be stoned. The Savior answered them and said, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her” (John 8:7). Her accusers, after realizing how wrong they were, abandoned their accusation against her and left her alone with the Savior. Survived the Third Week of October
It's been a good week. The week started with a work day... and night. We started the process of painting rocks... lots and lots of rocks. We also painted the trim. Joy and Julie finished the backdrop and moved on to helping get the rocks done. Jeff and I added finishing touches, like flowers, wall… Continue reading Survived the Third Week of October
Building a Taverna for Mamma Mia
For the last 6 weeks I have been working on the set for Mamma Mia at Central high School. It has been a huge project. It all started this past summer when my husband, daughter and co-worker went to see Mamma Mia at Broadway Rose in Portland. My co-work turned to me and said, "I… Continue reading Building a Taverna for Mamma Mia
#bethelight – Days 341, 342, 343, 344, and 345
My show opens on Wednesday. Every waking moment is spent on getting the show ready. I guess that is my act of kindness over the past couple of days. However, I am not sure if it counts. I'm just doing my job... even if most of it is a volunteer job. It just isn't giving… Continue reading #bethelight – Days 341, 342, 343, 344, and 345
Be a Little Kinder
It has nearly been a year of me looking for ways I can be kinder. I can't say I am actually a successfully kinder person. However, the effort to be kinder than necessary is helping me to see others as God sees them. That is something.
