This is an an example of what I got in my farm bag this week! I'm telling you. It's heavenly! This… Continue reading Perfectly Satisfied with Bermudez Family Farms

Summer is Moving Along
Doing a little catch up. Last Saturday John went on a little hike. He left on Friday evening and slept in his car. In the morning, he got up and hiked to Jefferson Park in the Cascade Mountains. It looks very pretty. However, I don't see myself making this walk. He said it was harder… Continue reading Summer is Moving Along
#bethelight – Day 248 and 249
Yesterday We were on the road. We got up early and drove over the river, through the woods, over the mountain pass to celebrate the life of my grandma. A couple of nice things, and great kindnesses occurred throughout the day. Aunts, uncles, cousin, and siblings were everywhere. Everyone helped out. Everyone chatted and laughed… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 248 and 249
Teaching Basic Skills
Right now, at CET, I am teaching a beginning tech theatre class. The majority of the students in my class are between 4th and 7th grade. This past week I taught them a 3 day unit on costuming. We didn't make anything a person could wear. We learned basic hand sewing skills. We learned how… Continue reading Teaching Basic Skills
#bethelight – Day 246 and 247
Gosh! Long days, with CET in my life. Yesterday's act of kindness was actually for me. It seems like I never have enough time to get things done during CET. Yesterday was one of those days. I had run out of time and still needed something for my work night. So I called my friend… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 246 and 247
Warriors Let Go
I found this picture on Pinterest and thought it was perfect for my thoughts for Warrior Wednesday. Warriors let go. I like to let go in my hot tub... or watch sappy movie... or by sitting on my porch swing listening to my wind chime. Warriors let go... at least once in a while.
Having Willpower
Something I have heard nearly all my life is that fat people don't have the willpower to loose weight. Fat people would be skinny people if they exercised willpower. Well... you are are wrong. I have a great amount of willpower. I work hard. I will myself through days that most people couldn't even begin… Continue reading Having Willpower
#bethelight – Day 244 and 245
Wow... yesterday was a long day. I left the house at 7 am and didn't return until 11 pm. It was a frustrating day too. It seemed like every little thing I did, every place I attempted to be, I just missed by seconds or minutes. Each store took longer than I expected, even if… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 244 and 245
Grandpa’s Lies
I hope you all appreciate this as much as I do.
My Grandpa tells me stories
I think they’re sometimes lies.
He tells me he bakes cookies
And mixes in dead flies.
He tells me he’s a psychic,
That he reads Grandma’s mind—
But “All her thoughts are empty
There’s nothing there to find!”
My Grandpa tells me stories
And lots of them aren’t true.
He told me when he was a kid
He ate a horse’s poo.
He told me he’s a ninja
And saves the world from crime
He said “I’d give more details—
But oops!
We’re out of time!”

#bethelight – Day 243
Today was a good day doing missionary related service. Today was email day. I was able to "chat" with my missionary for a little while. Then, the sister missionaries in my ward needed somewhere to do their laundry. I told them to come to my house... and they did. Then, I was teaching a voice… Continue reading #bethelight – Day 243
